Hyde had to be more worried about Perez vs Pham than Tate vs Cordero. And that assumes that Tate would have still been in the game.

Stowers seems to have trouble making contact against the curveball.  He's going to get a lot of curveballs thrown to him until he shows that he can hit them.

So, Hyde doesn’t make the change with Tate who had already gone 1.2 IP. It shouldn’t have mattered that Cordero PH, Perez should have been brought in to start the inning. The fact there was a LHB brought in to hit only make the mistake more glaring. AND if Perez is brought in to face Dalbec his BA against is better vs RHB.

Stowers apparently has a tendency to take first pitches so they have started him every time with pitches right down Broadway.  He then gets a bit hurried and tense and has swung at multiple pitches out of the zone.

Have no issue with Tate starting inning if it’s Dalbec. Second PH is announced yank him.  And yes I know how good Perez is vs RHH.
