It’s justifiable to leave Cowser off. I wouldn’t but I think people forgot about all the strikeouts, especially early in the year.

There were a lot of strikeouts at the end of the year too.  BUT, you're talking about a hitter who showed pure hitting ability at Delmarva in 2021 with no contact issues.   He made major changes.   They may have technically been minor but the numbers tell a different story.   By the end of the year he was hitting 7 doubles and 5 homers of his 23 hits at Norfolk.    He went from spray hitter to a power hitter in one year.    I'd say he's still going through that adjustment period.

I just don’t think a pure hitting ability results in a 30% K rate. He strikes out more than Stowers, who has a lot more power.

Stowers struck out 30% of the time in 2021.   He lowered it to about 25% last year.    I wouldn't count out Cowser doing something like that or even better.    He could have kept the same approach he had in 2021 and struck out 20% of the time with no power and a good average.    He's trying to be the best hitter he can be and combine both.  It's not as easy as it sounds.
