O's in World Baseball Classic

WBC rosters were announced tonight. O's have 4 players participating:

Cedric Mullins (USA)

Dean Kremer (Israel)

Anthony Santander and Darwinzon Hernandez (Venezuela).

Ramon Urias & Dillon Tate are not on the Mexico/USA rosters. I assume we'll find out why at some point.

Obviously it's because Mexico is underrating Urias.

The first 4 games for Team USA all have a 10pm start time (March 11, 12, 13 & 15). Not the best way to get a large viewing audience.

Adam Loewen, Ryan Lavarnay, Vance Worley, Pedro Strop all listed on rosters.

I haven't seen anything about Bautista participating.

I did see that Robinson Chirinos is on the Venezeula roster.

How is Adley supposed to catch all 162 games if he doesn't get himself prepared for the season by playing in the World Baseball Classic.

Today's players are too soft.

I like that Kremer is our only SP playing. Hopefully Venuazala doesn’t ride Santander too hard in RF. Mullins is a competitive dude, so this could give him a jolt to a bounce back to his 2021 season.

Seems unlikely, I read something online in the winter that he and his brother were looking forward to being teammates in the WBC.  And Luis is on the team

A complete, off topic tangent, but looking at the rosters for all the WBC teams, including China, got me to wondering.   Whatever happend to Xu Guiyan, aka "Itchy Shoe", the teenage player from China the Orioles signed over 7 years ago?
