The Home Run Hose

Apparently this contraption was dreamed up by Cole Irvin and Keegan Akin, aka “the plumbers” for their fix-it know-how around the club house.  Apparently there’s also a water fountain for a single and a sprinkler for an extra base hit.  I assume the latter is the gesture I’ve seen players do at 2B after hitting a double.  

Kyle Gibson explained that the hose is supposed to replicate kids drinking from a hose after a game of whiffle ball. 

Seems a bit contrived to me, but if the players enjoy it, whatever.  Just tell me they’re cleaning it off between uses.

You'll always have that chain and memories of Rougned Odor starting in way too many games during the 2022 season.

I wished they would still do both, I was a fan of the chain it grew on me as the Orioles morphed into a winning team last season.
