Sometimes players get promoted because they’ve earned.  Sometimes the get promoted because they are seen as organizational types and just filling in at a level where needed.   And sometimes it’s just a matter of “show us something” or the end is near.

Luis Gonzalez was a 400k international signing in 2019.  He didn’t show much the last two years in the FCL.   Because of injuries he got the call to Delmarva.   Not pretty so far.  He’s been to the plate 43 times and gone down on strikes an amazing 26 times.   Pretty sure that’s a bad sign.

Rumor from Eric_Birdland is that Braylin Tavera will get promoted soon to Delmarva.

Anthony Servideo, who has been nothing but injured since signing, started at Delmarva this year and showed little.   The 24 year old was bumped all the way up to Bowie to fill in.   There he’s been to the plate 24 times with 0 walks and 15 strikeouts.

Surprised about Tavera, he didn’t seem to standout at the DSL. Delmarva seems like a major jump.

He finished really well with 14 walks and only 7 strikeouts in August.   Apparently swinging the bat well in extended ST games.

Servideo managed a 2 for 5 day today, both doubles, though he also whiffed twice.  He also committed an error in the field.

Carter Young 0-3 3Ks batting .146 OPS .471 - the kid looks completely overmatched.  Wonder what’s going on there.  Hope he invested his 1MM wisely.
