Givens sucking doesn't have a lot to do with his body.  He's never been particularly svelte.

Not to mention David Wells, CC Sabathia and Bartolo Colon had very good careers. Tommy Hunter had some good years too, while being rather hefty.

Givens doesn't look as heavy as any of them. And what is Baumann's excuse for giving up a 2-run bomb to a light hitting nobody like Arias?

I don’t want to hyper react to one game, but it may be possible that we might need a reshaping of our bullpen. It appears that over half our pen is absolutely terrible.

Elias epic failure to bring in FA starting  pitching in the offseason may have the O's just out of the wild card for a second consecutive year.

This loss was determined when they made a decision to make today a BP game.  BP will not holdup this year. Too many unreliable arms, lack of quality pitching, was a problem in early April and reverting to form.  Looks like a last place team BP today.

Hyde deserves some blame for riding these guys into the dirt. The BP is cooked because he wants to throw everyone every day.

My prediction: we'll go 1-2-3 three consecutive innings in a row against their good pen. Then someone will hit a FUHR (a you-know-what home run) and we'll lose at least 11-8 (or more than 11, if the Indians continue trying hard).

this, the offense being anemic, and Hyde probably not being the guy are reasons why there's no rush to start shipping off top-tier prospects for a year and a half of a starting pitcher.
