So, do we leave Felix OFF the post season roster?

Yes. The roster can be reset for each series

That's kind of what I expect. If the O's make it to the ALCS or World Series, I could really see Bautista being available. Higher reward to offset the risk at that point.

He's going to have to look amazing in the bullpen, thats all I have to say.

I'd hate to see him do more structural damage to his elbow mid-game.

Assuming command, if Felix can pump 98 he's a lock to be our best reliever right now. Not as dominant as he was at 101, but come on.. . that's not what separates him from Baker.

Of course, I'm still very skeptical that anything fruitful will come out of this. I'm not getting my hopes up.

It is encouraging to see.  I wouldn't bank on him for the postseason but I think it'd be a nice shot in the arm for this team.

If he needs Tommy John, he can’t hurt himself anymore

I think that would be the reasoning. The only risk would be effectiveness and how many IP he can pitch (as well as delaying the Tommy John, but that's already happened). The risk isn't worth the reward in the Divisional Series. But may be in the ALCS or the World Series.

We need to win the divisional series to get to the ALCS and WS. Looks like they could be gearing him up to pitch sooner rather than later.

If Bautista is feeling good enough to pitch I think we see him in the ALDS (knock on wood Orioles clinch the AL East). Can't make the assumption the Orioles are going to make the ALCS especially when there's a good chance they face the Rays in the ALDS.

This is not just “oh go out and throw some and see how it feels”

He is being carefully monitored evaluated by the Oriole orthopedic and rehab medicine staff and specialists , likely including repeat MRIs, and clinical reexamination after every session.

They will decide what is possible/best for Felix health
