Popular Post Otter
His on-field credentials as a Hall of Fame baseball player are impressive, but the most impressive thing about him by far was his humility and the way he treated other human beings. In the current "me-first" world, people like him are in short supply and much needed. RIP to a Hall of Fame human being. 6
Gurgi
The idea Brooks Robinson is dead is impossible.

Moose Milligan
Very sad. RIP to the best 3rd baseman ever. Got a chance to meet him about 15 years ago. What a nice guy.

clapdiddy
What a kind, wonderful man. I got to meet him at a book signing back in 1976...I was 10 and in awe. He was just as friendly in person as he was on television. Pure class.

Sanity Check
Very sad moment for me. He was on the first team I ever followed.....the 1970 Orioles. Rest in Peace, #5.

Sports Guy
Ugh. Met him many times. Went to lunch with him several times, was even at our family Christmas party one year. An amazing player and even better person. All of Os nation is sad today. Wonder what they will do for him tonight?
HbgOsFan
1970 World Series. 1970 World Series. 1970 World Series. The only way Brooks could surpass that transcendent performance was to be by all accounts I have read to be nothing less that one of the kindest, classiest, most decent human beings. Had my picture taken with Frank and Brooks in 1966. One of my most cherished memories. My heart aches tonight.
