I have nothing to go on other than my gut instincts to predict that this will be a disaster for the Yankees.  Stroman has been good for a long time, his statcast metrics don't look that impressive other than his ground ball rate and the amount of barrels he gives up.  

He's about to be 33, he's headed to New York, he's got a bit of an attitude problem and I can see this quickly going south.

I hope so, anyway.  Would love to see the Yankees waste more money.

It's a two year deal at a rate the O's could afford.  Not sure how it could make it to disaster level unless the fans literally riot.

I could've done some mental gymnastics to be happy if the Orioles added Stroman. But there are personality issues and concerns about him. That said, he's been a good pitcher in his career when healthy, including in the AL East. He's a good pitcher and purely as a player is a good addition to the Yankees' rotation. That said, he's also the type of player/personality that either thrives with the Yankees or he's the kind that struggles for a stretch and gets buried. We will see.

I'm surprised he got less than what was projected. MLBTrade Rumors had him pegged at 2 years, $44 million. While some were even saying 3 years, $60 million.

The starting pitcher market has been a bit strange. It seems like the consensus is that there is more demand than supply (which seems true). And that guys are getting more than we expected from teams. But there have been a lot of decent pitchers who have gotten less than they were projected to make. 

Sonny Gray, Shoto Imanaga, Marcus Stroman, Eduardo Rodriguez, Lucas Giolito, Kenta Maeda have all signed for less than MLBTradeRumors thought they would.

He's got a vesting option (140 innings in 2025) that takes it to 3/55.

Yea, I guess I mean less guaranteed money.

Stroman has only exceeded 140 innings in two of the past six MLB seasons. He'll be 34 in 2025.
