Well it's certainly starting to "drone" on a bit ;)

It's also pretty hysterical that after his big interview on Fox where Bauer claimed he regretted how he handled the media he immediately had his lawer send a threatening letter to...a member of a the media. Bauer's like a less sincere modern day version of Eddie Haskell.

This guy is isn't what I consider "the media."  He has a lot of followers but he seems more like a "I live in my parents basement" blogger. No one in the media would respond with this type of profanity. He seems like a D-bag as much as Bauer.

He was previously the lead national baseball writer for NBC Sports, where he launched and edited the blog HardballTalk.

I don't read his stuff anymore but that's kinda disrespectful.

Disprectful and also a bit irrelevant to the point that I was trying to make. I'd also say that Bauer sicking his legal dogs on a "lives in my parent's baseman" blogger after claiming he had turned over a new leaf is even worse.

Agreed.  Petty and stupid...if he really wanted to show teams he's "matured", he should just ignore stuff like this.

So Trevor Bauer doesn't even run Trevor Bauer's social media accounts........

"Even on social media this winter, you were criticized for an incident where you supported a Navy officer whose negligent driving had killed two people in Japan. I understand you know him and I am sure you meant well but, when you’re asking for second chances, I might wonder: Haven’t you already gotten a second chance that way?

So I’m wondering, if I sign you, knowing how prominent you are on social media, how can I trust that there isn’t going to be some kind of controversy for my team down the road?

That one hurts, because I didn’t post that. People who run my account posted that. "

I wish this thread would just go to the MLB section where it belongs.   Bauer isn’t coming here, and the fact that he made one comment about the O’s being a “great fit” doesn’t justify a thread on the O’s board that just collects every random thing he says or does.

Yeah, I think the door is closed. The JT signing was our cheap vet deal.

Or maybe just lock the thread and call it a day? Someone can start a new one if there's every something tangible linking him to the Orioles.

Not interested in getting into a back and forth but it was not irrelevant since your premise was he went after a member of the media. I pointed out that in my opinion this guy is not a member of the "media." You may disagree and that is fine... but not irrelevant.

    • The outfield might be slick from all the rain. I think that can influence lineup decisions.
    • @Bahama O's Fanor a free trial of any streaming platform. YouTube TV, Directtv, etc.
    • I’ve been rending my garments over Adley and his struggles for months now. But I will say that it seems like a bit of an odd time to come together as a group on the notion of benching him — just as he’s been starting to show some signs of being Adley again.  Over the last week of the season, Adley had a 50% hard hit rate and an average EV of 89.9 MPH. Those numbers absolutely dwarf what he was doing for months, when he was sitting at more like a 26% HH rate and an 85 MPH EV. Anecdotally, I can’t even remember the last time we saw Adley drive a ball into the left-center gap like he did multiple times against MIN. That’s Adley at his very best, and it was a sight for sore eyes.  I’m not sold that he’s 100% back, and I would still stick with McCann catching Burnes tomorrow (especially since using Adley as the DH is viable with a LHP starter in Ragans). But I sincerely doubt we can run the table without at least a few stretches of Adley being Adley — so I think this recent spurt is probably enough to warrant sending him out there every day still, in hopes that he really is getting it locked back in.
    • Apparently, if you just waited to buy tickets, you could just basically go for free. Well done orioles.
    • Well, they likely would not have drafted an overslot SS with the second round pick if they had taken another HS SS first overall, so would you rather have Henderson and Rutschman or just Witt?
    • It’s my understanding that nationally televised games are usually blacked out. Consider a free trial subscription of Fubo if they are still offering it.
    • The Orioles starters absolutely have to do better against the Royals. You can't ask this bullpen to pitch most of the game and expect to win. Right now I probably trust Coulombe the most and Soto (which I never would have guessed a couple weeks back). Perez has been really shaky recently to the point I'm wondering is he nursing a tired arm or minor injuey. Cano hasn't been good as well and O's really need him to get back into a groove. And Akin is usually trustworthy, but only starting the inning clean.
