Move this to the rants section if you want, because that’s what this. But you do not pitch to a guy who owns us with the game on the line when nobody else in the lineup can hit. Webb should have known that. Hyde should have known that. There was no reason Webb should have thrown anything in the same zip code as home plate to Rooker. Everyone knew what was going to happen. Then Cowser missing the cutoff man. McKenna doing McKenna things. Solid team loss tonight. Worst loss since the McKenna dropped popup game. Get this clown off the team. It’s a joke that he’s even here no matter how great of a guy he is.

I get that you are disappointed/upset about the loss tonight. But you do realize that there are ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN games left in the season?

There is plenty of time to fix/change all that ails us. Despite tonight's loss, we are going to have a great team that will probably win over 100 games.

But I agree that the team stunk overall tonight.

Rooker is hitting .087 against the fastball this year and .318 on breaking pitches so naturally Webb throws him a hanging volleyball; I’ve seen enough of Webb for a lifetime.

Oh nice you are already putting us in playoffs, as bad as you say this team is everyday and they can’t hit cant pitch and awful bullpen I figured they would be lucky not to lose 100 games.

Just shaking my head at the defeatist posts in here.  If the players had the same loser attitude some of you do, the team would be lucky to win 50 games.  But guess what?   They’re way more mentally tough and they shake off disappointed losses like this one routinely.

You had this same rant in the game thread. No team is pitching around anybody with a runner at first and two out. You're not putting the winning run in scoring position on purpose. This is just like the "why don't we intentionally walk Randy Arozarena every single at bat" threads we have to deal with every time he gets a hit.

And your strategy would have burned us just like it burned Hyde tonight and will burn us in the playoffs later. 

EVERYONE KNEW ROOKER WAS DOING DAMAGE THERE. Webb never should have thrown anything close. He's in scoring position in the batters box when he faces us. That was a critical at bat and we let him beat us.

You do not let Rooker beat you there. You make the next guy beat you. This is what I mean by a lack of baseball smarts. 

This is like PHing Hays for O'Hearn a few games ago which people here also defended.

Bullpen loses are the worst kind of loss.  Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.  And the sheer ineptness of Kimbrel tonight was a sight to behold.  It was like he was vomitting and pooping himself at the same time.  The only out the clown managed to make was when he threw a ball to the backstop with a man on third and managed to block the plate probably illegally but who cares.   

And 20 bucks I predict he comes down injured in the next three days.  I got a horrible feeling about the dude.
