Or he'll tell you how tough the opposing pitcher is before the game, we score 5 runs off him then we go a few innings without scoring and the complains about having him on the ropes and letting him off.   Maybe the opposing pitcher is one of the 200 or so best pitchers on the planet and it's not easy to knock him out of the game early.
