I think it's more of a curveball. He threw it a few times but not nearly as much as his last start where it was his primary pitch

You can’t possibly believe that this was some kind of a good outing, he was a monkey dancing on a razor blade tonight.  I don’t care about giving up one hit, walking 5 and allowing one run isn’t great. It’s not sustainable, it’s not something he could do the next time out and expect the same results.  
 

Walking Grisham who’s hitting .102 and the Volpe who hadn’t walked in June in order to get to Soto was outright pathetic.
