I’m not ready to write off Irvin based off two poor starts.

His xERA is awful. Literally the only thing he does better than average is not walk guys. He’s a 5th starter, if that.

1-11 with RISP. Way to come up big when it matters fellas.

Home runs or nothing. They don't have professional at bats when they have RISP. they are all looking to drink out of the stupid homer hose thing or whatever instead of working pitchers and putting together good PAs to get runners in. Instead we see Santander popping out like a rookie then hits a solo home er when nobody on down by three. Yay!

Santander can take his empty homers and more on for all I care after this season.

I’ll be very surprised if we win tomorrow. I fully expect Carrasco to throw a gem vs us. Then we got 3 vs the Rangers who own us. Then go out to Seattle. This could get really ugly, really quick.

Elias gambled on very few pitching injuries this year after a healthy pitching staff last season and it's come to bite him in the ass.

Elias knew that he needed at least two impact relievers and he went out and just got Kimbrel. Cano was due for regression, Coulombe was due but got hurt instead.

Either way, he did not do his job correctly this offseason because he's too timid.

I know this team is in a funk, and they will be fine, but the bullpen being a mess is on Elias because only the injury to Coulombe could not be seen.

It's actually 4 against the Rangers and I actually expect them to win Burnes start on Thu. But I said they'll lose 8 of 10 heading into the off day

Can’t wait for Grayson to throw a gem tomorrow only to have the offense shoot a blank. That’s the way it’s going right now.

Team may need another year.  Not enough pitching.  This is all on Elias and Sig.

They will have no pitching next year. Grayson, Povich, Irvin... then what. They are a .500 team with that.

    • I have two tickets to Game 1 of the WC which I cannot use due to work travel.  Section 352, row 4, seats 9 & 10.  Asking $70 total for the two.  Paid $205 to the Orioles as a season plan member.   PM me if interested.  Paypal preferred.
    • Can't make game 1. I'll be at game 2...last time I was at a playoff game at Camden, we beat Scherzer and the Tigers.
    • He should be taking fly balls all winter.
    • That was a lot of fun. Felt like there are certain elite seasons that had to be part of the team, and then tried to build from there.  Outfield depth is a little shaky, as is the rotation — though the latter is probably mostly unavoidable. The lineup would rake and the bullpen would shove, so pretty happy with this combination.   C 2022 Adley Rutschman (5.4 rWAR) 1B: 1998 Rafael Palmeiro (6.3) 2B: 2005 Brian Roberts (7.3) 3B: 2015 Manny Machado (7.5) SS: 2024 Gunnar Henderson (8.9) LF: 1999 Brady Anderson (5.9) CF: 2021 Cedric Mullins (5.9) RF: 2008 Nick Markakis (7.4) DH: 2013 Chris Davis (7.1) Bench: 2003 Melvin Mora (4.7) Bench: 2006 Miguel Tejada (4.5) Bench: 2011 Matt Wieters (5.2) Bench: 2001 Jeff Conine (2.9)   SP: 2000 Mike Mussina (5.7) SP: 2007 Erik Bedard (5.7) SP: 2019 John Means (4.4) SP: 2002 Rodrigo Lopez (3.7) SP: 2010 Jeremy Guthrie (4.5) RP: 2016 Zach Britton (4.1) RP: 2023 Felix Bautista (3.0) RP: 2004 B.J. • Gray started off well  but then ran out of steam a bit. He's not getting any younger. I was interested in him last year but I think the Cardinals overpaid and his contract only gets worse.
    • A bit. Nothing life changing, but the format seems…Cleaner.
