I have zero issues on my iPhone using DuckDuckGo as a browser.  I also use a vpn.

Hope that helps.

It shouldn't take a solution like DDG to post on a fan message board

It seems like there are less 403 errors when traffic is light. When traffic is heavy like in the game threads, it's like the OH server is overwhelmed and rejects the request to post or sign in.

It might not be browsers.  I wonder what security and malware programs people are using.  There are also ad blockers that do this on some sites  and on Nord VPN you should probably turn off Web Protection because it causes 403's and other certificate errors.

Haven’t had a single issue position iPhone w safari.

it’s still the “invisible” ads that are the worst.

Have that exact same set up and constantly have issues.

I shouldn’t ask because I know they will haunt me forevermore but what is an invisible ad?

My apologies. I certainly understand the frustration as I get them too. Its a complicated issue because of the parties involved are not playing well with each other.

If I had a magic button, I'd push it, even if it meant no advertising.

If it helps, it has not been anywhere as bad as the last few days. So...Progress.

    • I don’t disagree…the Holliday error made the situation difficult. That said, when presented with 2 bad choices, I think you should choose the lesser of 2 evils and Akin facing the lefties that struggle may have been just that.
    • The three pitch strikeout of Devers opening a zombie runner inning was a nice accomplishment. Some of what stung was the slip costing Akin a possible confidence builder.    That said, O'Neill ended up getting a very nice pitch to hit, and I believe Hyde has also been specific at times about Akin's mistakes being too hittable, possibly also some of why he was quick to exit the dugout in that instant. It was easier last year when McKenna ruined a near Fenway win early in the season.     Felix didn't get derailed by that one, and hopefully Akin too can keep up the mostly good work.   70 innings of 25% K-bb is a very fine year.
    • I also wonder if he was mad at Akin. He has made some comments about guys making mistakes when they have been directed to pitch around (rather than intentionally walk) dangerous hitters.  https://www.masnsports.com/blog/brandon-hyde-s-take-on-why-the-o-s-issue-so-few-intentional-walks
    • Sosa was much more raw then I was led to believe. MUCH MORE RAW in every aspect of his game.
    • I tend to agree with this and have also always said that the emphasis in the minors could be resulting in giving us false impressions of how good our prospects are.  No one is saying that pitch selection isn't important, but you can afford in the minors to spit on pitches that you are going to have to hit in the majors.  In the minors, lack of command will result in greater results for being selective.  In the majors, guys have enough command to throw what you think are bad pitches in the zone more often.  Our guys get used to not swinging at certain strikes in the minors because they can't do "damage."  There is a good possibility that we are having players narrow the strike zone too much in the minors.  When they get to the majors, they then don't swing at pitches they have to swing at because ML pitchers can consistently throw pitches in that area.  The players then have to unlearn not swinging at such pitches, and also learn how to hit those pitches.  We are seeing this with Gunnar and pitches on the outside part of the zone.  I also think Cowser's offspeed issues are likely related to his approach to just not swing at them as often in the minors.
    • I really can't argue that overall, though it's really tough to put the winning run on 2nd base with one out. I think the problem with that is Masataka Yoshida was on deck, and while he struggled against lefties overall, he does do a good job of situational hitting.  At the end of the day, I'd feel a lot better pitching to him with only the tying run on 3rd, not the winning run on 2B.
