Will probably delay his off season workouts.

That's fine. Pay some retired journeyman to throw him nothing but fastballs and  changeups 100 times a day.  He doesn't even need to swing, just stand there and watch them.

Throw everyone of them below his knees so it reinforces and creates the muscle memory that he doesn't need to swing at low pitches out of the strike zone.

Hard to lift weighs with a broken hand.   Ask Westy.

This just sucks. Lots of HBP injuries this year,

- Cowser fractured hand

- Westburg fractured hand.

- Heston concussion

- McCann hit in the face

We need to protect our guys more. Stuff happens, but still.

I'm sure if they break the hands of some opposing players that will help matters, maybe give a backup shortstop some head trauma.

Or maybe check and see if our guys are leaning over the plate too much?  Didn't Cowser swing at the pitch that broke his hand?  Kind of hard to blame the other team for that.

Cowser not only swung at the pitch, it was 4 inches above the strike zone and 6 inches inside.   It was almost at his chin, swung anyway and breaks his hand.  Kind of the epitome of the lack of strike zone awareness by this team while under pressure.
