The folks who think Pie can't play defense are just nuts IMO. The ball was an absolute seed, a low line drive that was knuckling a bit, and he catches it smashing into the center field wall. The guy has some really nice range. He really does.

I second that. All we ever hear is about how taxed our bullpen always is, but Trembley seems always ready to use them as much as possible..

Was thinking the same thing- but I'm sure he has his reasons. I just really always have a bad feeling when I see a lead really earned by a rookie entrusted to Baez. Here's hoping for the Baez of the first week.
