First of all I am not a "dude" as you chose to call me. How old are you anyway? This ain't the roaring 80's any more. How would you like it if I addressed you as "junior?" Anyway, you know what you can do with your consensus and your approach of acting like you are speaking for the silent majority or masses of this board. I'm not trying to start something but what is so ludicrous about me stating that the majority of people on here feel the same general way about Oldfan and his postings? Look how many insane arguments he gets into with people and the amount of threads he's gotten locked. It's clearly not just me, Brobinsonfan, and Waroriole.

And who's piling on anyone? Oldfan is the one that was questioning why people had the audacity to rate one his threads with 1 and 2 stars.

Getting back to Frobby's point - even when we've had a strong closer - Ryan, Flat Breezy, Ray for a year... the rest of the pen has generally been pretty putrid.

I do think that as the talent of the starting rotation improves, the pen will get better since they won't be called upon to throw as many innings. That has to take a toll over the course of a season. They key really is to improve the starting rotation.

BTW, you can improve the starting pitching all you want and the Orioles appear to be on that path, but the bullpen as it exists is still bad and will blow games that these young pitchers need to gain confidence in by picking up the win. This certainly requires a better pen than the current version. That is simply a no brainer.
