Good defense gets us out of this inning without any harm.

To me this looks like more of a case of a groundball pitcher getting unlucky than the Bergesen we saw in the first two starts.

He's making most of his pitches. He clearly pitched around Ichiro, lost it temporarily against the next guy, then got a double-play grounder by Gutierrez but unfortunately it was into Gwynn's 5 1/2 hole for a run-scoring single. Followed up with another ground ball double play ball that Wigginton boots because he's not an MLB third baseman.

From an "O's winning this game" perspective things look kinda ugly. But they don't look as bad from a "Bergesen back to form" perspective.

Another routine groundball by Griffey, just not at anybody in particular.
