Wasn't Marrero already sent to Bowie a couple weeks ago?

Yes, but then brought back. Wallace is also there and hitting reasonably well. I guess Marrero goes back to AA? Maybe Wallace plays 3b?(not sure he does) and Britton goes back down? Just my guess.

Yaz continues to impress myself as well as I am sure everyone else. Reminds me of Matt Angle but with more pop. His floor is that of a 4th outfielder, but I am curious as to what he really could end up being. You'd have to compare him to other overachiever OFers such as David Lough and Tampa Bay's Kiermaier and hope for similar outcomes.

I am happy with the promotion, lets hope he can continue to hit

He certainly has the right genes! :)

Norfolk has a bunch on OFers. Berry, Peguero, Borbon, Paul with Urrutia coming off the DL. Add Alvarez to that and someone has to go.

I thought Alvarez would get promoted but I am a little surprised they are promoting Walker. Pleasantly surprised.

According to Roch on twitter a few other moves as well, Yastrzemski to Bowie.

So Yaz spends all of 23 days in Frederick, while his hotshot second round holdout / former teammate Esposito struggles to keep his OPS over .600 for his second tour of Frederick.

You can't blame Esposito, he didn't choose to be picked in the second round by the O's.

Where was he supposed to be drafted? He'd be pretty disappointing if he had been picked in round 3, 4, or even 7. Drew Dosch was picked in round 7 and already looks like a better prospect.

I'm sure Stotle or others can give a better answer, but I don't remember Esposito being a huge reach at where we took him. Was supposed to be a good defensive 3rd baseman (which I believe is still considered true) with a bat that could play if developed. I know there were concerns about his bat speed, IIRC it was Keith Law who said he had slider bat speed. But I think he was drafted about where he was expected to be, maybe slightly higher but not by much.

Going into his Junior year there were talks that Esposito might even by a mid-1st rounder. After his junior campaign, some scouts had concerns over his bat speed and started to down grade him. The Orioles though felt that the Vanderbuilt coaching staff had adjusted Esposito's approach to go the other way and that contributed to the "slider" bat speed comments from other scouts. Unfortunately for the Orioles, the other scouts were right and they were wrong.

This is why it's smart to hold out for as much money as you can possibly get. These careers are not sure things.
