I don’t think we need them.  According to interloper, we can just draft 4th and 5th OFers and trade them for the 2023 version of Bedard.

Of course not like we have a critical need at SS. We can continue to field a team of 1B/DH except they can't actually hit like 1B/DH types

I’m guessing he probably just needs to take his physical before it becomes official.  Sometimes the delays are about logistics.  Clearly the deal terms were already agreed upon.
