When was the last time a legitimate Orioles hitting prospect has come up and actually hit right off the bat?

And most every Yankee it seems hits a homerun in his first game when they get called up.

Right on. I defend AM from some things but his failure to build a decent bullpen every year is impossible to explain. The Rays just did it with mostly cheap(ish) out of system options.

This is a fairly important game in that getting swept by a low-level division opponent pitching a relatively unheralded rookie when you have your "ace " would be a bitter pill. In a tie game in the 7th inning we bring in a guy just up from the minors who isn't and wasn't pitching that well.

Even if it works out it says a lot about our bullpen.
