How's Brian looked?

Very good....the D however not so much

Take away the terrible errors and Brian has allowed 2 runs on about 20 less pitches through 5 with his stuff very sharp tonight.

In reality, it's really just 1 run. Nolan flubbed an easy fly ball that was called a hit that led to another earned run for Brian.

How's Brian looked?

I only saw him pitch in the 5th, but from that, he looks fantastic. He's being more pitch-efficient than Williams, BTW.

A lot of his only-3-runs-surrendered figure have come from the Angels being horribly un-clutch (almost to the level of the Orioles). BUT, on the other hand, he only has two EARNED runs and one unearned, and he's probably tossed close to 25-30 pitches extra because of errors made behind him.

If the team makes 0 errors, he'd probably have had a MUCH easier time tonight -- almost a good time.

This has been a good experience for Matusz. His defense has failed him and he's served up some meatballs. But he's battled through it, and even with the extra outs, he's kept them in the ball game.
