Humbly speaking, I think you're wrong in this specific instance. Statistics in general show that bunting a runner from first to second don't pan out. But your odds of scoring when bunting a runner to third from second are greatly enhanced. There are so many ways to score from third. (I'm sure someone will prove me wrong on this, however - )
