Why does the name Billingsley sound familiar to me? I seem to recall a pitcher some years back who pitched for the Reds (I think) but at my age I don't trust my memory. I am counting on someone here on the hangout to help me out with this....... I appreciate any help you can give me on this topic

I think you are thinking of Jack Billingham....pitched for the Reds in the 70's.

According to http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/historical/mlb_player_locator_results.jsp?playerLocator=billingsley there's only been 2 players in ML history but the name of Billingsley: Chad and Brent. Brent only pitched for the Marlins in 1999.
