I don't understand why Matusz can't throw strikes when he starts, but does it with ease out of the BP. Weird.

Remember- a lot of bullpen guys are failed starters. Rarely does anyone set off to become a great reliever it just happens. When I did Little League which I know is totally different than the MLB. I struggled when I started but I loved pitching in tight games and late. Hell though, wasn't Hoffman drafted as a middle infielder?

I understand him succeeding. I just can't figure out how he can just pump strike after strike with ease when he struggles to do it as a starter. Who knows...maybe he found his fastball command again down at Norfolk.
