There are differences. Britton's a young pitcher that the O's are going to have to rely on if they're going to go into the playoffs. Buck wants to give him the opportunity to work out of his jams. Freddy Garcia's a veteran that's been around for years and probably won't start for them if they make the playoffs. Girardi doesn't need him confident.

Britton is always one pitch away from a double play grounder, that had to play into Buck's thinking.
