Of course he knew how many outs there were. I think its pretty obvious he thought the ball was a hit and turned on the jets thinking if it went into the corner he could score the tying run.

Is there a team in baseball that gets messed up more by the sun then us? The sun has actually cost us at least two games this year. I'm not even mad, I just am baffled that in 2013 something as simple as the sun has been such a big factor in our season.
