Is Johnson the new Captain Chaos?

Orioles2012

Recommended Posts

He allowed 1 run in his last 13.1 innings and 12 saves in a row before tonight. People act like he has sucked lately.

Actually, Johnson has pitched poorly even when he gets the save. During many of his saves, Johnson has not looked good and has struggled to get outs.

Not lately he has. Last night he wasn't good. He had allowed 12 baserunners in his last 13 plus innings.

I am guessing you haven't looked at the stats when you make a comment like that. Since May 27th he has given up 1 run and had a whip of .92 .

This is on Buck bc JJ should have never been in the game. He pitched close to a combined 50 pitches in back-to-back outings; in fact looking tired last night.

What does Buck do? Puts him in a third straight night. He had nothing in the tank.

This is on Buck folks

He had 5 days off prior to that. He isn't overworked.

Johnson has 6 losses (2 more than any other closer), 5 blown saves (most in the MLB), and an ERA above 4. Right now he's one of, if not the worst closer in the MLB. The Orioles can not afford to keep giving away games in the AL East. The blown saves against SD, TB, TOR, and tonight were all bad. He lost us each of those games. Against TB and TOR he gave up 6 and 4 runs, against SD we were winning 2-1 only for him to allow them to take the lead, and tonight we were winning 3-2 and the Indians scored the same amount of runs in the 9th as they did the first 8 innings. The difference between 47-32 and 43-36, is the difference between having the best record in the AL and being 3.5 games back of first place. It is also the difference between having a competent closer and a bad closer.

You forgot leads the majors in saves as well. If you are gonna put in bad stats dont forget the good.
