Please do second half stats. I am tired of seeing stats to justify this team's poor play that take into account the first two months of the season, which is a long time ago. -
No hit through 3 once again. This offense is a complete and utter joke. Maybe, just maybe, their offensive struggles have less to do with injuries and more to do with the fact that they are terrible situationally and that teams don't have to throw them strikes. The Tigers had 4 XBH's and 3 runs in a 6 batter span. The Orioles have 1 XBH and 4 runs in their last 15 innings. It really isn't that hard, they are just that bad. -

Detroit is the one team I really don't want to face in the WC round. Unfortunately, I think there's a very good chance we face Detroit in the WC round, given how well they are playing, their soft schedule the rest of the way and the recent poor play of KC and MIN. They won't get the benefit of facing our weaker starters like Suarez and Povich, but on the other hand we'll face to face Skubal. -

The O's coaching staff is not responsible for all of the outcomes but this staff is clearly not getting the maximum value out of this team of hitters/fielders. The pitching coaches HAVE arguably maximized the talent available, compensated for injuries and seemingly made all pitchers better (lone exception is Rogers- WIP for next year and TBD). The hitters have regressed, do not handle LHP well, go into deep slumps, swing and miss way to much, are horrible situational hitters even when it is very basic (yesterday no one out , 2nd and 3rd and cannot put a ball in play that drives in a run), do not come from behind to win and are overly reliant on HR's. Friday with 5 HRs was fun but winning 1 of every 3 games is not a successful approach. I think that other team scouts and pitching staffs have figured out how to contain the Os and use their aggressiveness against them. -

There's a surprise: understatement from Roy. You just don't need to throw strikes to get most of the Orioles' hitters out.
