Seeing that Kelly Johnson was batting fifth and then his home run, I was thinking that maybe Buck put him there b/c of his career stats vs. McCarthy. Nope--just 3 ABs (with one hit, a double). And his overall career stats show a reverse split vs. right-handed pitching. Just another example of Buck magic.

Earl had that magic too. I like to think that he taught Buck the trick before he left us.
