Yes, it gives the infield a lot more chances to get out of the inning scoreless. The runner on 1st isn't as costly as the runner on 3rd. It's definitely the right move.

Out of the 58 Al and NL championship series played in the 7 game format since 1985, only 6 teams have been swept. And how many of them were ahead only 3 innings of one game? Not sure but it could be a first. A collapse of performance, not morale or attitude..performance.

Your bottom three is Joseph, Flaherty and Schoop. Your 3 and 4 are notoriously streaky and Jones failed miserably in 2012. This shouldn't be a shock. We need more talent and if that comes from injury returns so be it. I trust DD to see what he's looking at.

How can that freaking team be playing so perfectly for this long of a time? They aren't making a single mistake, they aren't failing to make any play that has even the most remote possibility of being able to be made, they are making them ALL! No miscues, no dropped balls, no missed chances. Perfection. How is it possible for this many games now?
