I think he puts up the same WAR over the next 3 seasons for a fraction of the price. The money saved could go towards Cruz or someone else.

I think you may well be right. Only X factor is what Seattle wants for him. If he can be acquired for a reasonable price I'm all for it. This is a great Duke-esque move.

He was actually fired the same year as the Bedard trade, so that may have been one of the reasons he got canned.

I'd pass. He has been in the league for almost 5 years and his best year was last year when he have 231 at bats. He doesn't project to be good.
