If I was a Red Sox fan, I'd want a better rotation than that.

Your correct about the Cardinals payroll discipline but they are a remarkably well run organization active in multiple markets and very good in the Rule 4 draft.

Oh absolutely. I am just saying that it is not always payroll that gets it done. And I think that we have shown in the last few years that we are becoming one of those well-run organizations. Are we Cardinals level? Certainly not; I don't know if anyone is right now. But we have taken a lot of steps in the right direction, and our framework is better than most right now, IMO.

This doesn't seem particularly frightening to me. If they go out and sign Scherzer or Shields, I might feel differently.
