They were talking about it on MLB Radio. Apparently, he had reconstructive surgery on his jaw due to sleep apnea, and the beard covers all the scars.

I think that the scars would probably look better.

Inexcusable for KG to leave a slider up like that in a 1-2 count. Can't just keep running him out there, he is getting crushed.

It's almost inexcusable for him to throw a slider at all. It's not a major league pitch. But he couldn't close him out with the fastball.

"Should have been caught" is different than "error". They are only going to change a scoring to get it right.

I disagree. Usually the metric they use is "Does your average player make the play" and I think in that situationist right fielders make that play.

Palmer is right, MLB just doesn't give out errors anymore.
