O's offer vouchers to Saturday's ticket buyers - Monday AND Tuesday Games PPD

I think Philly is a better choice BECAUSE it's a little further away. Either way...I don't see how they can play in Baltimore until the area is secured. I'm scared about going down tomorrow morning. I sure as hell wouldn't go down there after noon.

I don't really think it matters where it is played. The attendance will be pitiful. It is a damn shame.

With the 10pm curfew, I guess the latest time they could start a game would be 5pm. I assume they would want to give people at least an hour to leave the stadium, and what happens if it goes to extra innings? That is even if they want to go down that road.

If these games are moved to DC or Philly, I wonder how the logistics of seating would work. Surely no one has made a plan of which seat at stadium A corresponds with which seat at stadium B in the off chance that another team would have to borrow a foreign stadium for a home game.

Yeah, a lot of issues there. I'm guessing the commissioner will step in perhaps. I would be shocked if they denied a request though.

I think the games are gonna be at Nats Park. Allows out of town fans to get to the games and allows bigger crowds. Nat's will allow it because they understand the situation. Question is does MLB beat the Orioles over the head about this?

My guess is if they're relocated, the Baltimore tickets would be refunded, and people would be free to turn around and buy tickets at the new location.

I assume they try to get in two games of the WS series at a third party site. But I think they try to flip a home and away series with TB so they can play in Tampa this weekend.

Ironically, in their 20th game, Tampa finally got to play outdoors today. Would be a shame to make them go back into the dome so soon. Hah.

Day games would seem reasonable, but it's tough to plan on playing in Camden Yards when it's an educated guess as to whether or not it's going to be safe around the ballpark.

I'd be very surprised if the Nationals allowed us to play the games there. I feel like the logistics of playing in Frederick or Bowie would be much easier.

I would imagine under the current conditions in Baltimore, the Commish could invoke some sort of "emergency powers" and force the gnats to allow the games to be played in their park--if it came down to that.

This. Best way to recover their revenue and less complications in trying to validate tickets that won't correspond in another ballpark.

They may also choose to have some voucher system for choice of a future game rather than a straight refund.

Def think they are better with refunds. I could easily see people that won't come back to the city for the rest of the season.

This is clear as mud. How can it be a "game time" decision? Here we go on another silly semantics debate. There will need to be a decision about the game time, but a "game time decision" is one generally made closer to the actual scheduled time. :D

Meanwhile, if they decide to go to a day game, expect a pretty low turnout.

I wonder if they are trying to figure out if they can squeeze a double header in tomorrow or Wednesday.

Yeah that is about as pointless as pointless gets. I can't expect things to get better enough in the next 12 hours to warrant playing the game.

Ah the article now says they will make a decision by 9 am.

Good. I actually have tickets for tomorrow's game. If it gets moved to DC, I bet they would either have it be free to any comers, or make all tickets general admission, and figure a flat rate for walk-ups--and give people with tickets vouchers for another game.
