He wasn't great, but he wasn't bad either. Had some lucky breaks too.

You are forgetting about his first two dominant performances.

He also was pitching to a new catcher (same catcher for him though really).

Overall he has earned a longer look.

Thoughts on Wilson/Wright?

Wright's stuff didn't look as good to me today. The fastball velocity was down and slider wasn't as crisp. I think this was part of Wright's issues in the minors. Maintaining his stuff from start to start. His ultimate destination may be back of the bullpen flame thrower, but for now you gotta let it ride in the rotation.

Wright had to allow some runs eventually. Made a couple mistakes that got hit out, it happens. Kept us in the ballgame and got rewarded with a win. The kid is 2-0, 1.40, his only no decision he pitched 7 scoreless. If Bud was throwing no hitters in AAA you might rush him back, otherwise let him keep starting.

Tyler pitched well enough to win, just ran into a very tough pitcher on the other side. Nothing dominant but certainly held his own. His potential upside is Miguel Gonzalez.

No pitcher will have his best stuff every single time. Wright did fine.

This is true, but with Wright it might be more true than with others. Maintaining his stuff from start to start as well as from inning to inning. There is a reason everyone was talking about using him in the pen when he has been a starter his entire minor league career.
