I love all the "Orioles aren't winning anytime soon" talk. Maybe that article is what propelled us to 3 (going on 4) straight winning seasons and 2 out of 3 playoff appearances since that article was written.

Maybe the additional prospect was Teheran who is a very good pitcher. That makes it atleast a bit closer. That was the raves offer as well so we may have countered with a different offer. We apparently wanted another prospect maybe we countered with Jurrjens, Prado, Teheran and Freeman.

I was in favor of trading Jones for Vizcaino and Delgado, which at the time would have been a very substantial haul. In fact, I think the Braves would have turned us down. Since then, Vizcaino washed out, Delgado became a mediocre reliever, and Jones just keeps getting better.
