The fact that the Uptons are from Roanoke and that Justin would be open to playing for the O's is not a secret. Whether or not he could be signed for less than Davis is another matter. That could be the biggest hangup.

He's willing to play for any team if the price is right, like most FA's.

These guys have a pretty good show ...and they don't report crap. They stated that the info was available somewhere on the internet. But I am working and don't have time to look for it

All that information is gleaned through conversation. It is not data. You know as much about what is going on and have as many inside sources as they do. That said, I like their show.

And how can you be sure what they say is accurate?

Fact- Upton is from Roanoke. Which Buck and Dan say is Norfolk.

Fact- Jones and Upton are friendly. Adam is friendly with many good players.

Fact- Boras asked Chris Davis to let the market play out instead of taking the Orioles offer ("It's out of my hands.")

Fact- Free agents don't take less money to play for a team that does not distribute opt out clauses.

Fact- Upton bats right-handed

That sounds to me like the White Sox are selling Montas to buy Frazier, and the Dodgers get to be middlemen to convert Montas into the flavor of talent Cincinnati is seeking.
