Voted Cespedes because I like the idea of our #1 and another pick from losing Davis.

But after thinking about it, the O's would screw up the #1 pick anyway...so better to go with Upton.

I'd stick with Cespedes. I like him a lot, but having Rickard in RF or Urruita wouldn't upset me.

The Orioles have been a playoff threat until late August each of the last four seasons. And have made moves to try to improve the Orioles position. Much to may folks' dismay.

I will say that Dan saying he had the money to get a #3 or better starter wasn't real smart.

I believer he first said TOR starter and amended it to mean anything from a 1-3 starter. He has a tendency to lead many fans to believe that the Orioles will do more than they actually do.

Could that be because that's what he hears from PA, and then PA see's SP salaries and gets cold feet? PA has reneged on his promises before.I don't think we really know what Dan would do because he has never had a truly free hand since he has been here.
