He's been with 6 orgs in the past 2 seasons.

He was only placed on waivers once though, and he didn't make it through ... at least I read that somewhere ... teams don't want to place him on waivers because he's at least attractive enough for teams to scoop him up if/when he's placed on waivers ...

Meh, his WHIPs the last couple of years haven't been great. He doesn't miss a lot of bats. His overall stats are not that good, but he could be worth a look - since he's a lefty.

I'm digging this move a lot. I wonder if Aquino would immediately make the top 30 prospects list? AA at age 22-23?

If the Cardinals let go of anybody it should be looked at. They've had tremendous pitching depth for a decade.

7 SO/9 IP is nothing to really sneeze at...

He really has bounced around a ton... and hasnt progressed above A (outside of 12 innings in AA).

5.6 last year and 7 the year before. Bradenton had seven starters last year with a better K/9 (nine if you count one-start pitchers).

The FSL average last season was 7.2, obviously bolstered by relievers, but still.
