Just pathetic how this man is revered. As much as I hate Alabama, I know they'd disown Saban if he were Paterno in this story. I can't imagine any school being this tone deaf. Why were they removed from probation? They clearly haven't learned anything from this tragedy.

Former Penn State President Guilty in Sandusky Abuse Case

Nice to see someone finally found guilty.   It was obvious that something happened in 2001 at the very least, was reported up the chain of authority all the way to the president of the university, and NO ONE, not Paterno, the AD, the President, ever thought to do what should have been done:   contact the police to investigate IF a crime had occurred.   Look for the potential victim to see if he was safe, gather forensic evidence, an interview the witness (McQueary) by a professionally trained officer of the law -- you know, ALL that stuff you do when a possible crime is reported.   That is the bare minimum that should have been done and that's been so obvious since day 1.

Just a disgusting culture in central PA. I used to say that central PA was basically Alabama, but people in Alabama wouldn't put up with that from Auburn or Alabama. Plus it's also warmer, with more pleasant people. :D

This good ole boy network does nothing but cover up and cause harm. Glad to see there's accountability for those who ignored so many victims, but I'll withhold judgement on the court system until I see the sentences handed out.

I don't believe the Penn State football program should exist as it is anymore.  That's what I think.  I have very little interest in NCAA football anymore and I'm wavering on basketball, that's how much I hate the whole system.

Please define "good ole boy network". Is it a group of pedophiles? One's that had friends in high places? I doubt it. Sandusky was a Sicko and he was at fault but now EVERYone has to pay.

I went to Penn State. I knew Joe Paterno slightly. I've been on his property. I've met Jerry Sandusky on several occasions. I'm all for real clarity.

I agree, completely.

That isn't what I said.

I said that if it stops one person from being silent about what they know.

I agree with this, also.  The same has often been said in regard to other similarly tragic situations.
