Truth be told, Davis and Trumbo are in some kind of freefall and the rest of the team is pressing because of it.

Kim and Jones are double play machines either way you want to bat them in the top 2 spots. Terrible situational hitting from the both of them late in the game.

I agree the team is pressing. We gave away way too many games earlier in the year because our rotation was terrible. Now the hitting is slumping and now their pressing.

They say when your struggling work on going up the middle. The last one was hit hard pitcher don't field it is a single.

He must have pretty good speed down the first-base line--almost beat out the throw to first despite hitting the ball hard.

Kim has hit into 4 DP's all year. I'd hardly call him a DP machine.

To be clear, my OP wasn't intended as a general swipe at Kim. Just an observation that he had a particularly feeble night at the plate.

Davis and Trumbo need to reach deep and get going. I agree they are the cause of the decline. Gapping hole in the middle right now.

Kim has only hit into 4 DPs this year. Personally, I think he's pressing because of the team's lack of hitting right now. He fits right into the rest of the team that seems to really press all at the same time.
