A player may be transferred from the 15-day list to the 60-day list, but the opposite is not permitted. If a player is transferred, his time on the 15-day list is credited toward the minimum stay on the 60-day list.

Not what I would call a totally reliable source but here is what Cub Reporter says:

A player who is placed on the 60-day DL after August 1st must remain on the 60-day DL for the balance of the MLB regular season, even if there are more than 60 days left in the MLB regular season when the player is placed on the 60-day DL. NOTE: This does not apply to players who are transferred from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL.

He got shelled in a ST game and was DFA'd right away. It was kind of a surprise since Triggs had options. We've lost a couple guys to keep Urrutia on the 40 man for so long.

You have to take these fangraphs things with a huge grain of salt. Earlier in the year they showed how Tyler Wilson had 5 plus pitches. lol. Look at that article.

No reason to DL him at this point if he isn't definitely going to miss more than one start with rosters expanding in a week.

No reason to DL him at this point if he isn't definitely going to miss more than one start with rosters expanding in a week.

I am assuming this isn't just a "miss one start" injury, in which case we need another arm now.

I agree that Worley probably deserves the start, but I would note that, as someone pointed out in the Minors section, that Joe Gunkel was scratched from his AAA start tonight. He struggled early in the year but has thrown better of late.

I still want Worley, but would prefer Gunkel to Ubaldo.

My guess is it'll be Worley if he's not needed in relief before Thursday. If he is, then Gunkel.
