The Orioles have claimed outfielder Drew Stubbs off release waivers from the Rangers, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (Twitter link). Players that are claimed off release waivers have the right to accept or reject the assignment to the claiming club, though it stands to reason that Stubbs will accept the opportunity to join a contending team with which he will be eligible for postseason play. Were he to reject the assignment, Stubbs would need to sign elsewhere before midnight EST tonight in order to be eligible for the postseason with his new team.

A little bit. He's not a great CF but at least he has a lot more experience.

Strikes out a ton. Played with the braves this season, maybe even DFA'd by them. Can swipe a bag.

With expanded rosters you really can't complain. This just worries me about Adam Jones.

Assuming he accepts the assignment, this is a good claim. He's got a little speed, got a little power. Can be useful off the bench down the stretch.

Like Pearce, tends to hit lefties fairly well.

I'd call him significantly better than Dickerson by default, especially since Chris has scarcely been playing and can't really hit.

Stubbs brings similar speed, but more power than Borbon.

Nolan isn't as bad as people make him out to be, but defensively the bar isn't set very high with a comparison to many except Trumbo.
