Even if you don't get into the rundown, simply breaking for the plate and forcing the 3rd baseman to throw you out at home would have been better than what happened.

I'm pretty sure that they teach players/runners to do that in that particular situation.

Rays actually have good numbers since the All Star Break. But they're only .500 since then I'm guessing because the AL East is back to being a beast of a league.
