So not having a QO will make Wieters much more expensive to sign (no draft pick to lose), so we won't be stupid enough to now sign him at his now higher market price, will we? Did it with O'day last year and that was a bad idea.

It's laughable that Hellickson would do anything but gleefully accept this offer.

But I thought the same about Ian Kennedy last year and that went completely opposite from what I expected.

And Kennedy was in a market with a bunch of starters on the market. This year he's competing against guys like Rich Hill and Jason Hammel.
