Gallardo got better, once over his injury in June, as a number 5 starter, low expectations, he might just be fine.

Jimenez is like the little girl with curls, would be nice to figure out a way to get him on his A game more often.

Given the money owed, not sure, either are trade-able, then again, was nice to have Jimenez around when Tilly went down for 2 weeks.

Rangers and Indians are in on Encarnacion.  Two potential landing spots for Trumbo.

How stacked are teams at the top of the AL right now.  The NL is essentially a one team league with the cubs.  The dodgers have 45 players but can't dominate the regular season.  BOS, TEX and HOU are going all out.  CLEV is trying to.  NYY are splashing around.  

Must be nice to play in the sorry NL in a sorry division.

I hate to sound like Rene, but don't forget the Nats, when talking about NL cubs. They got strong SP and a decent team.

Schrezer, Strasburg and Gonzo can pretty well match up against any NL team.

Strasburg- Does he have an elbow?

Gio- Would get slaughtered in the AL and especially the AL East.

Roch is such a good follow on twitter.  Some tidbits from Buck:

1 Will take 1 player in the Rule V

2 Getting lots of interest in their starters.  "Not going to give them away"

3. No need to monitor Bundy's innings any more than Gausman

4.  Wants a DH that can play other positions like Mancini can play first

5.  Prefers Jones not leadoff

6.  HSK to see more lefties

7.  Confirmed interest in Castillo, Hundley, Bourn, Saunders

8.  Wieters, Trumbo, and Alvarez are all possible to return (kinda contradicts 4)

9.  Wants to play his bench more.

Reminds me of Michael Bourn.  All the way down to "bats left, throws right."  Excellent speed, hit .296 in the minors.
