Joseph catching Gausman for the third time in a row.Was an interesting article in the Sun about Gausman throwing many variations of his fastball. Just like idol,Justin Verlander. Joseph was also quoted.Maybe he is his personal catcher and they are working on all these fastball speeds and cuts .

 

Manager Buck Showalter said a fastball could be four different pitches, or six if you mix in a two-seam fastball at times. Caleb Joseph, who has caught Gausman's past two starts, said a range as wide as Gausman has can be like 10 different pitches.
