Means is an extreme fly ball pitcher, so having Kjerstad in LF at home is showing a lot of confidence in his ability out there, and in Cowser’s ability in CF. Cowser’s numbers in LF are very good this year (he’s already +4 OAA) so I’m glad to see him get some more CF opportunity. Kjerstad needs the playing time and if they are willing to go with this alignment in the most extreme scenario testing Kjerstad's defense (Means, at home, Mullins off day), that provides a lot more flexibility for getting him in there. -
I thought there were 2 reasons: 1. Holliday agreed to under slot money. Slot was 9.7M and he signed for 8.2M. At the time I had the impression that Jones wanted full slot. 2. While both players were/are amazing talents Elias was more impressed by Jackson's work ethic. JMO. -
The Dodgers have Betts and Ohtani and Freeman. Maybe 3 of the best offensive players in the game. Not exactly the same. The goal is to be strong 1-9. Can we survive with Mullins batting 9 and being a zero on offense? Probably. Can we survive if Mateo becomes a zero on offense too? Probably, but the goal isn’t to survive it’s to win the division and put the best team possible on the field.

This may be true but I find it hard to believe with all of the media focused on the draft now that this didn’t get out. It could also be someone thinking that his player was going to be the #1 pick, going #2, and sharing a story with colleagues/friends that he wouldn’t sign there with a hazy rationale. Regardless, I’m thrilled with who the O’s got. -

theres a snap in holder for the phone so it can never fall out...but Jackson will customise any phone to fit and allow camera access within the holder.
